The TRX is a revolutionary new piece of fitness equipment from the US, where it was originally designed for training navy seals. Using only your body weight, the TRX allows you to take functional exercise to a whole new level, with progressions and adaptations for any fitness level.

 

 

 

 

Exercises for strength, balance or flexibility all focus around the users own awareness of their body and relies heavily on stabilisation from core muscles. Unlike traditional weight training that tends to be linear and follow one plane of movement, training on the TRX encourages multiplanar training (frontal, sagittal, transverse) which integrates all your motions and mimics real life movement. This brings a muscular balance to your body, increasing performance and preventing injuries.

 

We are some of the first PT’s in the UK to have been trained specifically in using this new piece of equipment, recently featured in health articles and soon to be appearing ain a health club near you.
